March 2016 Results Summary

March 2016 Results SummaryHi there, here is my third revenue report to date for the month March 2016.

Fortunately things moved just ever so slighly in the right direction after February’s (2 extra days helped) dip. So just in the postive not allowing for those 2 days but sitll way down on January.

Now I have another month more on being tested rather than on celebrating. My rankings for the keywords I monitor have stayed there or thereabouts, there hasn’t been any real chnge if anything slightly upwards. Click through percentage from webmaster tools are down but I’ve not changed the meta description on my posts. Total impressions are up but clicks are down. Frustrating!

Anyway here’s the revenue and expenses

Revenue

This is the revenue generated from implementing courses that I’ve talked about on the blog:

Erica Stones Straight Line/Extreme Review $1159.15 Review

PotPie Girl’s RAM (no work for 2 years still producing) $41.39 Review

Guide To Cashing In On Shiny New Object Syndrome (the course that launched this blog)

Affiliate Marketing Masterclass Giveaway $47.00 Review

Traffic to this blog:

Here’s a brief summary of the blogs traffic/visitor results this month (last month). Some growth evident with more regular posting and social media sharing.

Google 163 (156)

Other Search Engines 11 (12)

Direct 115 (107)

Social 228 (63)

Referral 34 (18)

Bounce Rate 59.17% (52.44%)

Time On Site 2:44 (3:49)

Points To Note

Another tough set of results – not moving forward like I was expecting.

I posted to this blog with more tips and techniques rather than reviews. I posted every day.

I ran my first giveaway. I found it’s harder than I thought to give something away.

Overall it was a learning month that I’ll write about more during the month – so this doesn’t go on. I’ll link to the point as I talk about them here.

The good thing was that I again managed to reach more than $1000 for the month again. So not all bad.

I didn’t do as many posts to the Extreme Review sites as I should have.

Next Month

I’ll be reducing posts to 3 days a week – Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

I’ll be starting a Podcast as well as doing more video (I did two review videos last month).

I started recording information on 3 posts last month and this month I’m going to start changing things to help with conversion on my Extreme Review sites to see what that does to conversions on the posts.

The intention is to add one post per day to my blogs for a total of 30 posts for the month to see if that can help increase the number of visitors and conversions too.  They’ll continue to be long and the best quality I can. That’s it for this month.

Great results Paul! While I like reading this blog I always wondered how you find the time to make the extreme reviews and daily posts to this blog.

Yep, you should concentrate on making more posts on your money making sites. Not sure though if posting every day on a site necessarily translates to more visitors. As Brian Dean (Backlinko) says: The publish and pray approach doesn’t work. You need to promote your content and that’s what I’m doing now.

Having said that: can’t wait for part 2 of your Extreme Review 2016 update. 🙂

Here’s an idea for another blog post: How to organize a giveaway. I have never done one either and already suspected it’s not as easy as it seems.

Thanks Daisy. It’s great to hear that someone likes the blog!

I’ll be posting the Extreme Review 2016 on Friday. Today is the ongoing Extreme Review Updates.

I’m planning a giveaway blog post – it will be out next week.

Glad to see it hovering over $1000, I remember a year back when I was commenting so glad you stuck with it! Imagine in another year, these $1000 months with be just another stage 😉

Great to hear from you. I hope so – just a little frustrating at the moment.

(I see you discovered Pajama Affiliates before me.)
