To make a post stay on top in wordpress, also known as a sticky post is now relatively straightforward now.

It just involves editing the post to make it sticky. By making this quick change the post will stay at the top of your post feed on your home page where it can be used for an announcement or some other  important piece of information.

Reversing the process and making the post “unsticky” is just as simple with you un-checking the box again and saving the change and it is back to being a normal post.

Here is a quick video to show you how to make a post stay on top in WordPress.

To help with this step here are a couple of screenshots:

You need to be in your dashboard, select all posts and then on edit of the post you want to have stay on top.

Choose all posts

Once in the post you click on visibility and it drops down.  Then check the sticky box, click on ok, then on update. And you’re all set.

Click on visibility

It’s much more simple then it used to be. If you have any questions let me know in the comments below.
